Gerry Hartis brings decades of experience at the intersection of global development, economic justice, and leadership formation. With a career spanning higher education, international consulting, nonprofit innovation, and executive coaching, Gerry’s expertise lies in building structures that elevate people, steward resources wisely, and spark transformation across sectors.
As Director of Business & Leadership Studies for the American Studies Program in Washington, D.C., Gerry trained hundreds of emerging leaders from over 180 institutions, connecting them with global thought leaders and placing them in catalytic internships. His leadership secured high-impact consulting engagements with USAID, global NGOs, and international universities—shaping policy and advancing partnerships across Africa, Asia, and the U.S.
Gerry has served as CEO, consultant, and founding advisor for several mission-driven organizations and tech startups. He has led due diligence and strategy for ventures in renewable energy, agricultural value chains, emerging market finance, and international education—mobilizing resources for both profit and purpose. His work has influenced everything from patented fintech solutions in Asia to experiential seminary education in Pakistan and East Africa.
He is the co-founder of PENTASPHERE Global, where he now helps visionary leaders and organizations align culture, leadership, and economic models with principles that promote human dignity and generational impact.
Gerry holds a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Throughout his career, he has trained thousands of leaders, consulted with over 50 global organizations, and mentored next-generation entrepreneurs around the world. He continues to champion collaboration across generations, sectors, and cultures for the flourishing of all.
